The Story of Bibs and Kids It all started with THE BIG BIB! I was tired of throwing away my daughter’s clothes that had been ruined by grubby stains. The small pastel bibs she had as a newborn were simply too small to cover her once I started weaning her onto solids and being an independent little baby she always wanted to hold the spoon herself so most of her dinner ended up all over her. In despair I started to wrap a tea-towel over her top and so the idea for The Big Bib was born! While on holidays in Switzerland I came across this huge bib while shopping in an old-style haberdashery shop and bought about ten. When I got home lots of friends asked me about this wonderful bib that not only looked great, but kept my daughter clean. I tracked down the Swiss manufacturer and decided to start my own company selling these FANTASTIC bibs myself. As my daughter got older and started montessori I started to send her in wearing a smock I had picked up in Italy.  Her teacher was so impressed with this little gingham smock that she asked for more and soon I introduced the Kinder Montessori Smocks and Bambini Montessori Smocks which are a great hit with pre-schools and parents (and the kids of course!... my girl is now 6 and she still has keeps her old school smock!). But I was busy myself and a new arrivel in 2007 meant that those Big Bibgs were dug out again and believe or not, still lasted!  Once my older daughter started school, she needed a painting apron and all I could find were horrible itchy plastic ones that ripped or shrivelled, so I tracked down some better ones and so the line of aprons got added to the site.  When the baby's christening came around I needed a cute bib that would match her beautiful dress and so the Christening Bibs were added.  And so on and so on! Everything I sell has been tried and tested on my two little ones and if it doesnt past the test of the mess that they can make... I won't sell it! Now my girls are 2 and 6 years and like them, the business is growing!  My idea is always to find products that are USEFUL and not just "baby accessories" but that have an equal emphasis on function and fashion.  I hope you agree!
